Final Paycheck’s 401k contribution not showing yet

I got 2 paychecks on 1-5: one is a normal check for 2 weeks ending 12-31 and I can see that contribution (and Schwab’s match, plus the $250 annual) posted to my 401k. However, I also got a separate check on 1-5 for the last week (thru 1-5) and unpaid vacation & float, but that 401k contribution & Schwab match are not showing in my account yet. I spoke to someone in SRPS via chat and they just said it could be a little while, and to reach out to Payroll to make sure they sent it. Sort of annoying; I am ok with a delay but they should be more clear so we’re not guessing and having to monitor. Any input from others is appreciated.

I now see mine posted into the 401k as of last night. So they waited until the 19th even though the paycheck was on 1-5. Just glad it’s there now.

It’s the OP again: as of today (1/19) my 401k contributions from the last paycheck still are not showing in my account. I emailed HR on Tuesday and haven’t heard back yet. I’ll call next week if there still is no update.

Checking in here. I similarly have not seen the contributions to 401k from withholding for the vacation/floating holiday payout which occurred 1/5 for me. I emailed last week HR and so far crickets. Anyone having better luck?

OP here: I am in Texas. I checked my 401k today and still do not see the contributions for the final paycheck I received on 1-5, or for the vacation & float payout also recvd on 1-5.

I guess I have to reach out to HR or payroll next week if it’s still not there since SRPS didn’t seem to know when I asked a couple days ago.

This violates DOL regulations. Firms must credit your 401k contributions as soon as possible not as soon as it’s convenient for them…

Is this true about "unpaid vacation & float" paid on 1/5 already? I didn't think it was supposed to come until AFTER the lump severance?

The timing of these payoffs varies by State. In Colorado, all hours (Wages, Vacation, Float, etc.) are to be paid on the Severance date. I am unsure if the OP is in Colorado or another state with a similar employment law. I am ex-Schwab in Colorado and received the two checks on 1/5. I am still waiting for Severance.

Reg 401k deduction issue with the final paycheck, I have the same situation. When I called HR, they told me that there is some processing delay and it should get credited into 401k account this Fri the 12th.

I see the same as @OP . I just got the final pay stub in the mail which clearly states money deducted from the paycheck but not deposited in the 401k. Maybe it will happen on 19th?

No news on 401k match but how about health insurance?? I need a letter from them saying mine expires the end of January so I can join my husband off cycle annual enrollment. Have you received anything for that?
