When will we be getting information about COBRA? I called COBRA and they said we should get information beyond what we have received in order to sign up. It’s 1/11. We’ll need it for February.

I received mine today, so hopefully will be arriving soon for everyone - based in Denver
You're covered till end of Jan under your existing plans.
I agree with other comments in reg to COBRA
There’s nothing anyone can do. HealthEquity is the administration handling COBRA. The post below is correct
HE has 44 days from 1/5 to provide us with the COBRA benefit package information. We then have 60 days to sign-up.
I looked this up in our severance package for somebody else, and it stated that there is going to be a gap in health benefits while EH processes the applications. This is on page 2 of The Separation Information Package - the one that is 24 pages
If you incur and health expenses during the processing time, you’ll have to pay out-of-pocket and once the COBRA paperwork is in place, you’ll be able to get reimbursed.
I remember the paperwork saying that whatever healthcare costs you may incur between February 1 and the acceptance of your COBRA application, you can still use your benefits, but you’re going to have to pay it out of pocket and then they will reimburse you once the paperwork is
in place.
Healthequity has 44 days from the termination date to send out COBRA information. It is possible that you may not even have the information by February although coverage will start on Feb 1. You can call Healthequity and you might be able to do something before you get something in the mail. Number is listed in severance documents.
