How bad is Rae R. How did she get this position.

AppD was industry leading when Cisco acquired it. Since then it’s stagnated and has been completely overshadowed by other FSO tools. There simply isn’t feature parity.

Rae R the new CRO is a cancer. She is very unqualified for the role. A very well known long track record of her destroying anything she touches.

There is a great deal of useful product left in AppD and 1000E that is being integrated into FSO services. And they've managed some decent sales of the solution. Could certainly use more engineering help though for sure. Gutting Engineering while trying to combine product lines makes for very slow and buggy product ramp.

Curious to see what we do with Splunk

Ronak is busy wrecking the engineering side, the business side is getting a shuffle. Another $4B of cash wasted. By the time Splunk comes in they will mostly be opex to be harvested.

FSO is likely a play in the Security and Observability sphere. If Cisco can get market share in security and internal application monitoring - we might have a shot at turning this company around.

We bought Splunk to round out some of that functionality. But you're definitely right about the three groups (1000E, AppD, and Splunk) needing better communication and organization. They ought to put all three groups under one leader and get some high quality engineers to get the three products merged into one. Though I don't envy the leader that would have to deal with that amount of Spaghetti code with three different coding languages to deal with. Probably a several year process unfortunately.

Can anyone say WTF Cisco is doing in FSO? Multiple products that don’t work together. Even people in AppD and 1000E teams don’t speak together. And accounts meant to position this BS to customers? What is Cisco’s mission these days?

It's not CiscoLive Las Vegas, it is CiscoLove Sin City.

Debauchery and unethical behaviors, sanctioned by the guise of technology.

If the walls could talk.

RR came from PAN when she joined the Global Enterprise West sales team in 2022 because she knew the Americas SVP, RB. No one in GESW was happy about it because everyone was in favor of promoting from within. She stayed a year before moving to another VP role under RB and now a year later she's moving to AppD CRO. "It's not what you know, it's who you know."

RR is a disaster and has no clue on being a sales executive. LRs will be accelerated with her being the “CRO”.

Cisco will run anything to the ground. Cisco got these middle age men interested into buying, by hosting Ciscolive in Vegas to distract these men from their wives, with extra ti-ts and pro-stitutes in Vegas.

Cisco would run DataDog or New Relic into the ground just like they did with AppD.

If Cisco is serious about APM, then it should cut its losses with AppD and just buy something like Datadog or New Relic.
