Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Breakout topic - another post references no raises

Not even cost of living adjustment?! We have had massive inflation the past couple years and salaries her are not keeping up. Are they trying to get people to quit? Will T forgo her bonus since the direction of the company is her fault? She got 6.6 million bonus in 2022 on top of her 1 million salary. This is why other industries unionize. Teams have huge outputs this year and execs pack their pockets.

Don’t know about layoffs or raises but Wealth is hiring 3 new Senior Director positions and 15 Directors. These are new positions created out of thin air not backfills. Wealth needs 18 new Directors like I need a new hole in the head. Sick of it.

I guess rhyming is the new career boost at TIAA

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who met with Thasunda Brown Duckett
He blurted out raps on retirement gaps
So she put a few mil in his bucket

The workers all said it's a sham
to buy her some clicks on her 'Gram
She said I don't care, I got money to spare
You ain't in charge, but I am.

There....can I get my 2% raise NOW T-Bone?
Hey Girl Boss...The "T" in TIAA stands for Teachers, not Thasunda. You know that, Right?

I have not heard any more recent rumors about layoffs....so maybe we're ok in that category. Hopefully!

But a certain favorite group, Digital can continue to hire senior leaders who have zero retirement/financial services industry background..

Has the website gotten any better....with all the senior talent, all they have to show is brand new colors on the website..

Even those under 25th will not be getting raises. Those lucky enough to get promoted won't even be brought up to the 25th.

Confirmed. No raises if you're annual salary is above a certain threshold unless you're in the 25th percentile relative to peers/mkt data.
