Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Can't do our jobs, such a joke

Not sure if Core is experiencing the same issues, but under EUC we can barely get a quote out the door in under 1-2 weeks. God forbid the quote has any non-standard terms, promotions applied, etc., then forget it!

We have to send questions and quotes out to EUC Deal Team and NON-EUC DMT email alias that are officially a black hole where deals go to die. I feel so sorry for these teams that are understaffed and over worked, being completely bombarded with requests every two seconds that they can't fulfill. It's such a broken system.

Yet all the EUC specialists, aside from the new hires, are not on full OTE and expected to hit their number. We should have been put on a non-recoverable draw like every other sales person under Broadcom yet we are drowning trying to get anything done. Poor choice from leadership and everyone is feeling the pain from it.

Simplify your process.
Quote creation should be 15 minutes, not two weeks.

Don’t stress. Do the minimum and start to execute your plan B.

A wise Zen master once said

No self, no problem.

In this case it can be translated to

No quote, no problem.

Get yourself in order to find a new job.

Core isn’t as bad as EUC, but it’s pretty damned bad. Can’t build the deal structures the customers want and then CIBG has “simplified” into nothingness. DMT used to be able to help but now they don’t have any approval authority and the answer to everything is that it’s our problem now. Every little exception goes to crazy high levels. I’m really supposed to bug the CFO with THAT.

These operations teams like DMT are bombarded and overwhelmed with an insane workload of deals AND they are transition so probably looking and interviewing for other jobs is their priority

I imagine sales is also struggling as 360 support is no long offered on the EUC side. What this means to the customer support experience doesn't seem clear.
