The Worst Part of Days in the Office

The constant reorgs, goal changing, and mismanagement from the EMT is bad enough. But you know what makes days in office truly unbearable? Our fellow low level employees who are still optimistic about this place and high on the PURPLE kool aid.

I’m not talking even mid-level management, even though their proclamations of “we need to keep doing what we’re doing for the company to succeed” are sickening. I’m talking the average employee who comes in every morning beaming “Hello Crown Family!” and getting mad at anyone who criticizes the company because we’re being “negative.” The ones who insist they’re going to “wait and see what happens” as if the writing hasn’t been on the wall for months because this place “isn’t so bad” and “management isn’t awful” and they’re too afraid to contemplate a future without PURPLE running through their veins.

It’s these members of the PURPLE Cult, who turn a blind eye toward everything and insist things are going to be fine despite the warning signs flashing and the building being on fire - despite the fact they’ll be hurt in the long run by this place’s mismanagement too - that make coming into the office truly unbearable.

I used to moderate my feelings and what I said to these people, but no more. I’m not part of a destructive cult and I’m not putting on that pretense anymore no matter how upset it makes people. If you can’t deal with the “negativity” too bad. I can’t deal with the constant “positivity” when Crown has given us no reason for it.

And to those who say “if you don’t like it, get another job”, what do you think everyone left with a brain at Crown is trying to do? If it was that easy, Crown would be left with 100 total employees tomorrow because everyone with a brain cell left would’ve already jumped ship. Trust me, the majority of us are looking. And if you were smart, you would be too.

@2cha+1qs2M9i3 - Or people can leave. I left by choice. It was the best decision I could have made for myself. On the other side of the purple walls, it is eye opening how much unnecessary BS Crown makes people go through to just do a job. The dysfunction is going to get worse before it gets better. All of the horrible managers are going to be more horrible trying to protect their jobs. They are going to throw ICs under the bus left and right to save their own jobs. People either need to accept how it is or move on.

It is not just the horrible management but also the woke low level people hired in the past 5 years. Bad people with no vision hurt the company at every level. Less than 2 percent of all employees ever pushed back. The silent majority is just as guilty. Now that sh-t is hitting the fan more people are standing up.

The problem is how week everyone has been. I suggest publishing a list of the worthless time wasting time su-ks that everyone knows ate still there and publish that to management at every level.

You acceptance of the situation without pushback is how Purple Clowns continue to lead you.

I wish parts of crown does get sold off, this place is so toxic that’s it’s not even safe for your mental health.

I'm not one of them and no I don't wish they'd lose their jobs. Yeah, I wish they'd leave, but I don't sit around in my free time hoping that other people will worry about how to feed their children.

I'm an adult.

I think the worst is going through all these reorgs, and new plans knowing any minute it will be swept away after Elliot sells fiber or does whatever it will do. Then if you make it you get to go through more reorgs.

It is not the company it used to be and once you create a toxic culture, it’s unlikely going to return to what it was. Best of luck to all looking, know that there will be other jobs where you’re valued as a human and not just a number.

I can't imagine having a life so sad that I actually take joy in people losing their livelihood. I recommend reevaluating your life a little because you're clearly pathetic.

Those people you describe are exactly the people I laugh at when u see their posts on LinkedIn saying they’re “open for work”.
