Oh no, how will Pepsi survive
Just a negotiation tactic by the retailer. PEP products drive too much sales. You think people are buying Utz or some other knockoff Frito products? No…they’ll go shop elsewhere. Same with Mt. Dew.
Greedy price increases are taking a toll:
Coca-Cola (KO) soft drink products outperformed PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP) soda drink products in the latest batch of Nielsen data. For the 4-week period ending December 30, Coca-Cola's (KO) namesake brand, Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite, and the other smaller brands saw sales grow 3.9% year-over-year off a 3.7% increase in price/mix and 0.2% lift in volume. For the same period, PepsiCo (PEP) products Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and smaller brands saw sales grow just 0.1% as a 5.4% increase in price/mix just covered the 5.3% drop in volume. Cola-Cola's (KO) soft drink business also beat PepsiCo's (PEP) soft drink line on the 12-week comparison, +3.8% for KO vs. -0.2% for PEP. Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) saw sales growth of +3.4% for the 12-week period and +3.6% for the 12-week period with is soda business.
Good! That’s what they get for outsourcing American labor and price gouging consumers while they make record profits at the same time.
I think it’s more bark than bite. Can you imagine going to a store and can’t get your Lays & Doritos ? They will come down a couple points and be back in as this will hurt the customer big time more than us.

Despite this retail disaster which will surely have some impact on the bottom line - you can be sure that heads will roll at the lower levels who really had nothing to with this. All the while the upper management will pad their bonuses and fatten their salaries. This place just gets more obnoxious with each passing day. Has to be one of if not the most poorly run fortune 50 companies on record.
Its called Karma, PepsiCo has been in bed with woke Democrats and their policies for years and now with sleepy Joe ruining the economy and skyrocketing prices of everything they get a dose of what they deserve!
9000 stores! That’s a lot. I love the shrinkage warning the stores put up letting customers know the size has been reduced while the price has increased.
