This program never had anything to do with bonds. It was a way for some of cash bonus to be deferred. Transparently described in company documents.

EM doesn’t have earnings bonus units (EBU) anymore. You can see in annual proxy statement the executive compensation program which applicable is for all executives - of course with much different values. And after 2020 EBUs were not part of exec compensation.

Previously, along with RSUs, there was additional annual bonus comprising of EBUs and cash. For EBUs you were allocated a certain number of stock shares but you don’t get the stock value per share (even after time), just the earnings per share add up each quarter until it reached a trigger (a total earnings per share or a timeframe like 3 years). Then at that point you get those earnings as a cash bonus.

Now there is RSU and cash. Someone can provide some details these days on cash bonus or even number of RSU for exec level.

Exec only. Earnings based stock units. Triggered when earnings reach a pre-defined threshold.

Is this related to the incident on bonds and gags that one of our Executives is alleged to have committed?
