got 'transitioned' to an outsouring vendor disregarding 28 years of dedication
basically was told no serverance , have one week to accept the offer ..that lists your role lower than you are at GE and oh yeah no guarantees that you will have a job after 6-12 months
BUT be grateful you have a job and we offer training to upskill if needed ,,,,yippee
Layoffs are happening, just being called transitioning to a new contractor. This is what is happening in IT in Vernova, right now! Offer letters expected at the end of March, accept or you no longer have a position.
Management will always default to layoffs when it suits them.

I don’t think anything happens until the spinoff is complete.
Unlimited Overtime punch in and stand around as much as you can. Until the state green energy free money runs out.
Sorry no mass layoffs until 2025.
