Anyone would care to chime in with a prediction about potential L3 layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

My son was hired before graduating in December, he started mid-January and was laid off a month later.
They just did a voluntary retirement and they got a lot of people to jump on board. It was a good deal for those 65 and over. The word on the street is it was not enough. They are targeting the older crowd and they want them out. Looks like another round is coming most likely not voluntary. This is a short time employment stop on your way to your next job. Just make it a stepping stone. You are not valued.
I am aware of 2 positions that were eliminated this week. I left L3Harris last year but still have former colleagues that I keep in touch with. The management repeatedly proves that employees don’t matter, they assume people can be replaced easy enough without any consideration to experience.
Legacy L3 used to be a great company until it merged with Harris Corporation Harris Corporation had a bad reputation but yet it was a hostile takeover with Legacy L3. They treat you like a Workhorse once they are done with you they throw you to the pasture to die. They don't care about your mental health half of us are on depression medicine anxiety medicine and are thinking of su----e mentally they have broken us and have taken everything that we have only because they pay us well or at least most of us. I don't think I will ever work Aerospace anymore as I am leaving L3 Harris because of mental health issues because of them so whatever you do in life make sure you love your job and don't settle for nothing less
Still not officially out of the government consent agreement for the entire company and it's been 5 years without true resolve, yikes! They have restructured key profitable segments and changed their names which makes the cut more clean from the corp company for all the less profitable locations. Billions of dollars in backlog product delivery (fact), and they want people to believe they are profitable. If there is redundancy in any department don't wait for the music to stop.
layoffs are happening at L3 Harris because the company is underperforming. employees are underperforming because they are unhappy. Employees are unhappy because the company is treating them like cr-p.
RTX is competing for LHX biggest contract. When they win it will be the end of LHX. Since the last merger, ITT/ Exelis/ Harris/ L3HARRIS has declined under feckless leadership and woke policies. The defense department should wash it's hands of this failure of a company. And they will
Only the deadwood remain behind in the moribund Canadian operations.
Unfortunately, more are coming. Get off the Titanic.
L3HARRIS stopped being a defense contractor a long time ago. A defense contractor in name only it is a money maker for institutional investors. As an employee you're nothing more than livestock. Get your head out of your butt and move on
If you work in a company or division that will be sold to private equity, start looking for a new job as soon as the announcement is made. Regardless of what L3H or TJC say, TJC has no idea how to run a commercial aircraft systems group, nor are they interested in doing so with the L3H CAS division. TJC isn't investing $800 Million to run CAS. Ever seen Pretty Woman? Just like Edward Lewis, TJC will break up L3H CAS into pieces and sell them off for a tidy profit over an 18-24 month period after the sale concludes.
If you read this (“We will focus on driving operational improvements to enhance productivity, reduce expenses, drive margin expansion, and generate strong cash flow,”). You will get the answer what it will be.
