Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

January/February layoffs

A while ago there were rumors about layoffs at the start of the year. Has there been any more info about it since?

The Avaya brand is damaged goods. In fact. I don’t think it was ever that good. The smart thing to have done during the Chapter 22 was to rebrand but it is what it is.

Now is the right time to hit real beauraucratic junk left after laying off real honest employees.
Attention to investors and board members as decisions are unlikely to be taken by Alan and his leadership.

Direct employees are no more required. Sales leadership even get laidoff will survive via their own partner companies serving Avaya for years

High cost countries still left with huge pile which is no more required including leaders.

Surprise to see how these leaders have fooled Alan and his new team.

There is no point to keep high cost countries, even Sales as the revenue is directly through partners .

Check Sales enormous salaries without any direct outcomes. Partners Sales output can be managed easily remotely, why to incurr higher sales cost. INVESTORS and BOARD members please audit why the sale team is required in high cost countries, while partners can be managed remotely

The only constant at Avaya is weekly layoffs
Strategy -- stagger them once a week so it's a slow drip and not too obvious (so 20 or so every week instead of once a quarter of 300-400).
Purpose -- Drive Avaya down to the bare bones. Extract as much cash flow out as possible (Apollo objective) and prepare for a shuffling of ownership (AM & his Boy Band Objective).

As long as Avaya has someone like Alan in the lead, lay-offs and furloughs will always be on table. Alan’s pay out will always come first, employees will always come last. Happy New Year!
