I contacted HR as I was not able to login to my separation website, did not hear back anything. sent the laptop back on time as I received the package on time. But signed the severance on 26th dec instead of 21 dec as I was on a trip where I did not had access to internet. What should be done?

Why not? Treat it like an extra-long paid Sabbatical before you return to the grind of job hunting and working full time.

It should be fine. They want the signature so honest people wronged can’t speak badly about them. The date is a low concern.
