Our CMO is horrible. CT is the only marketing leader who even knows what business we are in. Promote based on merit and acumen, please. This will not solve our legacy problem but will stop the embarrassment. She really is clueless and her hires are just as bad.

Agreed, It will be a person of colour that will replace her. Imagine the outrage if they put a white male in based on merit.
JW and her team, specifically her "chief of staff" are demeaning and rude. They act entitled in meetings and will treat others as less than, while they preach DEI and inclusivity. TD has over corrected without any substance.
CT is too white to get promoted. And with NC out, they'll need to find another gei to keep the DEI balance in the ELT ranks. You could be the world's best marking leader but if you don't check the DEI requirements you won't get employed.
I agree CT kisses up and back stabs, but at least he’s smart. More than I can say about JW. But he does not check the right boxes. I admit that I hope he is not the MC at sales kickoff again. Wash, rinse, repeat…
No smart ex-Teradata associate would come back. Why would they? Tge smart ones are at AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks. Companies who are winning hundreds of new customers every year.
AH-hem ... c'mon folks - let's not talk about promoting CT (who has backstabbed, BS-ed, and b*tt-kissed during his time-in-grade). CT should be fired along with the rest of Marketing - he's one of the problems, not a solution to JW. There are plenty of ex-TDC folks who could fix things in Marketing (and might come back) but the rest of the ELT is so broken, they would not / could not do the job that is required.
Thank goodness she has all those director leeches kissing her b-tt. That makes her days complete.
Ask her, what is it that we do? I did once and received a rambling buzzword salad. Her minions, or the JW "Posse," as they call themselves, are simply inept.
