Ford management is turning to underhanded practices to cut costs by establishing a target when you received your compensation notification in March, and then reducing that by declaring that 90%, or whatever it is, is the new 100%. Why not just be honest and lower the target? All the smoke mirrors is plain and simply dishonest and underhanded. There's no point in establishing any targets if they aren't really targets. To add insult to injury, the same management team that enjoys a lot of pretty nice perks and benefits will then accuse you of being ungrateful if you say anything about your bonus or underwhelming merit increase. Think long and hard about it the next time someone claims Ford is one big happy family.
