DEI is how companies earn federal contracts from Democrates. Change the whitehouse to restore sanity at corporations and schools. Even Indians and Arabs in US seeing this.

If we had any cloud, AI, or security solutions we wouldn't be talking about DEI all the time.

If everyone complaining about DEI after decades of garbage software was produced with no DEI focused on cloud, AI, or security solutions Cisco might be doing better.

DEI is a great distraction from our product offerings. It's 2024 and look what we sell. If we had any cloud, AI, or security solutions we wouldn't be talking about DEI all the time.

Also DEI is a great method to distract employees from layoffs & outsourcing, which is a common management consulting tactic.

If the leadership is focused on DEI and not talent, they’re bound to fail.

Quality at Cisco has been pathetic for decades before DEI.

Padma was hired for her checkboxes versus her knowledge and her capabilities. She was the CTO but could not keep up with technology discussions required to make investment decisions. The engineering organization quickly lost all respect for her. It was exacerbated when she began publicly talking about her devotion to her art as investment decisions within Cisco simply weren't being made.

CX is like a different company within Cisco; just look at their events… loose budgets, while Sales spending is so restricted that reps are barely allowed to travel to see customers!

Sorry team, but fairness and justice aren’t coming. Maria “rules the roost” and CX will always be protected moreso than the rest.

All together now:
Collective group wish for karma at 11pm PT.

"Try being on the Sales side these days, defending what CX does or trying to find an ounce of value for customers. It didn't use to be this way."

Back in the day, CX was called Services. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it was even more incompetent and toxic.

Many of the leaders in Services (CX) were well compensated for outsourcing tens of thousands of jobs to India due to the lack of labor laws. Then half the HQ campus was sold without any bad PR.

Jeff S is not a competent sales leader and is just riding Chuck's cashing checks rodeo while orders decrease every year

About a year ago, Maria hired her friends with VP titles and no place to put them. She parked them in front of Frans office and said “find them a job”. Meanwhile she was doing layoffs.

She has no soul.

Maria has quietly cut costs by laying off thousands of employees without a backlash. Her job isn't to be an expert in CX or technology... it's to cut costs without bad PR

She's doing a great job

PW pushed out and paved the way for Maria. How does it keep getting so bad with these senior leaders? Maria is the worst!! You watch, she'll leave, and everything she's doing will make things worse for Cisco. Her damage will carry on for years to come. Sales leadership needs a backbone and to stand up to her.

Her overspending on CX has crushed sales and the BU's. It made TAC a disaster, too. So much money is spent on CX, yet Sales and BU's think it's become a worthless organization. Those who actually think CX is worthless are customers! Try being on the Sales side these days, defending what CX does or trying to find an ounce of value for customers. It didn't use to be this way.

PW shot the company on the foot for not pushing to buy Nicira Networks.

Chuckie is half way decent, people supporting him are selfish and self promoting.

I went to interview at salesforce 2 years before Maria arrived at Cisco, now everything makes sense. Salesforce was losing people during Maria's tenure at Salesforce, she was not a well-liked individual, many people left. She was pushed out of salesforce and took many people from salesforce with her to Cisco.

She applied for the CEO role. Chuckie cut her along with all applicants who were interviewed for that role.

PW used to present and say nothing for 45 minutes at events. It was painful. Ushered in the exec-speak era at Cisco to distract from no real products.
