Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

They going contractor railroad

Back when little man vena was announced ceo they [union pacific] hired a company called ISN. Told my local chairman about it so he could go up the chain with it. Nothing from local. I would rather talk to a wall. A wall a higher IQ

If the unions allow this to happen without a strike, then they get what they deserve.

Most yards will end up being contracted out just like MOW projects. FJV

There is a contractor who is a multi millionaire. He worked for UP as a manager until he got caught stealing, he should've gone to prison but rumor is he could've squealed on others. Who in their right mind hires a thief and trusts that thief to follow all the rules, codes, laws, etc to do a job right? I guess those details don't matter when UP management is rewarded for just telling the board of directors and wall street "we are gonna save some $$$ by contracting xyz". I laugh at where this will end up going. After some terrible accidents these contractors work will have to be inspected by some regulatory agency before being cutover, once the REAL cost of contractors #1 of which is making contractors very rich the shareholders will be looking back at DIY with your own employees and dreaming of going back to that.
