I’ve heard talks of the company outsourcing the entire ROSS (retirement operations) area, with an announcement coming by the end of February! Buckle up!

Probably an end of August or Q3 town hall announcement.
So far, nothing has been mentioned about outsourcing ROSS... maybe it is just a rumor.....
Outsourcing RKA because it takes time away from selling. They don’t want their client facing people dealing with issues they want them to sell sell sell. Sweep the other sh-t under a rug.
Horrible time to be a TIAA participant.
@1ust+1qY8fGMS Project Andrew is a CS&T initiative. Client Services is part of CS&T, and ROSS is under Client Services. Obviously, much of IT sits under CS&T too, which is most certainly being outsourced/offshored.
By the way, as far as TIAA leadership is concerned, there is not a big difference between “offshoring” and “outsourcing”. Both mean jobs are leaving the US. We’ve been outsourcing to India for over 25 years, and more recently created TIAA India for “offshoring”. Now we are expanding to the Philippines.
I thought Project Andrew was just for IT? Is this happening in March. Scary times
If I’m not mistaken, this is something they’ve been working on for years and it’s been under NDA for the people working on it. I think it goes by some name like project Andrew. They think it will save a quarter of a billion annually.
Is there anything left to outsource? Everything is being done by outsourced and offshore resources.
I did get confirmation on major layoffs in retirement and cst area though. It was confirmed in latest townhall. They gave some fancy name but bottom line is to let people go... looks like in huge numbers from what i hear.
Doesn't sounds logical. Retirement is their core business. Outsourcing retirement means client will shout
Ive heard outsourcing not off-shore.
Outsourcing or offshoring? TIAA outsources more than most know. With so much of ops in India and now the Philippines it doesn’t surprise me. I hope the three managing directors, two sr directors, and two directors are fired as well. Who am I kidding they will probably add more useless layers of management.
