What a wonderful and inspirational town hall. A fabulous and well deserved victory lap for our marvelous leaders. The cockles of my heart grow warm whenever I think about it.
@irng JG is there because of the Colorado connection with MW. Both grew up around Boulder, Golden area. I would do the same thing; bring my homie to the party!
JG is a bumbling buffoon. I wouldn’t trust him to make me a subway sandwich.
Why is JG there? new energies is 10% of the scorecard. Would prefer to have other leaders that are in charge of the real business.
Really liked the format. KM did not back down from the tough questions, very well done. Any leader that is confident enough to break rank and quote Ted Lasso in a towhnall has our vote for being down to earth. NH absolutely has the toughest job among the senior leaders and trust the board is considering him for the top job.
MW is a politician.
KM 10/10. Straight talking and held them responsible to answer the questions. Should be in the C suite. Obviously did a lot of work to prepare for this. Gained a lot of trust by staying true to her promise to ask the difficult questions.
MW 7/10. A bit of a dodge using trust to suggest returning to the office. Sharing the story about getting direct reports now from TCO was a good message to middle managers to stop sugar coating and focus on results rather than messaging.
NH. 3/10. Totally missed the point on leading performance and completely contradicted MWs point about outcomes over output.
JG 1/10. Pure waffle.
Management has no clue. WFM is not the cause of all thr mistrust. If anything RTO will destroy morale further. There is nothing in law that forces everything to go to the shareholders. That's all made up and spread around. Google it and you'll find its a myth.
Liked the format. Wish our execs had better prepared responses. It actually may have been "unscripted" given the confusing and, at times, contradictory responses. Can anyone tell me what our actual strategy is? How are we competing against our peers? Why are you punishing employees for an acquisition the street didn't like and serious project delays that were unknown due to a lack of weekly reports? Oh, but don't worry, our PMPs will reflect the poor performance, our comp will only be 100x the average employee and 2023 is behind us.
Format was great. So much better than the canned questions. Those are the questions people want answered globally not "I don't like the new layout of our offices" or "Are we moving headquarters to Houston?" questions we've gotten in the past.
It was as good as it could be given the mood everyone has been in. Love that Mike and Nigel shared they haven't always received glowing PMPs. People need to hear that. If you take constructive criticism, you get better. If you don't think you have anything to improve on, good luck.
Also, don't worry MW's compensation was affected too.
Ignore the fact that you were hit over the head because of 2023 and be better this year.
Key messages: get back in the office, layoffs are coming, you all need to work harder
JG deflecting the question on profitability. Talks about revenue only. Means he has no idea when they will be able to be profitable.
To solve the trust issue, we need more face to face interaction. Since covid we have been living weird times…..RTO is coming harder
“We are not doing this to lower carbon, we are doing this for value” JG
I guess we back to 2020. People will start leaving after bonuses paid!
No effing way he didnt know these were coming
No way PB sends an email like that without MW's knowledge and I would bet it was sent at MW's direction.
Cuts coming!!!
ROM on the horizon.
MW acting like PB sent that email on his own.
