Gracenote has always been in the black, making profit. For the last 5 years they’ve been trying to combine the two businesses and the buyout of What’s On India is giving them the path to move Gracenote operations to India. First it was training WOI in Ned, then moving engineering from Emeryville to India. Customer Care and sales is next.

This is what is currently happening. The entire US CX team is being laid off, many this week, some in a month.
Those that are facilitating it have to see they're next, if they don't, they're a bit naive.
My favorite part of the whole thing was Nielsen sending out a generic doc about reasons you could potentially be leaving, not specific to being laid off. That tracks.

Of course it will be. My area made money, and we still lost 14
NA sales/customer facing roles will go to Mexico. Look at the job ads.

It gets confusing.
Either way all business is moving to these GCCs except for key players.
