Volunteers to injury

How many volunteers are going to injury? Did they get the number they are wanting? When will they start staffing with the employees that are needed? Treat them right so they won’t quit!

The employees rule the company now. We won’t return to the office and Exxon is powerless to enforce it. We won

You expose yourself when you get on here and troll! An email went out to all of leadership which was shared/viewed in huddles/Teams Meeting with the staffing strategy for Injury. My TM discussed with us on Tuesday regarding the 300 that were selected, internally, that volunteered to go to injury. Yes volunteered! There will be no forced reassignments, period! Property Complex is sending 140....and had over 300 volunteers alone. "The other 1800 will be external hires." Verbatim from the communication that we all saw!

Well from my experience with that department, once they get their 300 people, theyll immediately look to start pushing people out. Injury department seems to never want proper staffing and like watching its rockstars leave.

The "300" does that ring a bell? Hopefully the outcome is better

I've no idea what the previous two people are talking about.

No, there aren't "hundreds of volunteers" trying to go to injury and, yes, people are being moved into injury against their wishes. This isn't anything new with SF. Injury is an extreme cluster fork right now and has been for at least a year if not longer. I also don't know where the poster talking about hiring 2k people into injury "the first half of the year" got his/her information from.

Truthfully, no one outside of the c-suite/upper management knows what's really going on. Anyone here who gives you any hard numbers is lying.

There were hundreds who wanted to go to Injury. Injury is only taking the most likely to be qualified so some that volunteered were not selected in round one.

Some Demands have not recovered yet but we are making good progress. Those with access to the statistics can confirm there are Demands that are getting on top of it and showing good success. Some of the Demands are still struggling but with the changes in the economy and the significant reduction in turnover those Demands will get there soon.

You don’t think there are underlings involved in the logistical planning for bringing 300+ people per month into Injury during the first half of the year?

Truthfully, there are underlings who have been told to execute the plans made by the C Suite. I’m definitely not lying.

  • Isn’t it ironic that you come to this site and learn that we are still hiring like crazy not laying off? The arrogance of the C Suite folks is being replaced by a younger group of folks with what they think are new ideas but are really just a rerun of what has come before. We are once again making the investments we need to succeed.

The next question is whether MRS will be the tech answer that Mr. Yi thought he already had before he gutted us?

Pretty sure there are no volunteers only other areas asking for volunteers. It is a cluster and out of TM/SM hands who are in injury. It has to be changed above the SM level.

The employees may be strongly encouraged to volunteer but they did not jump up and down and raise their hand to volunteer.

Let’s hope the “volunteers” of 300 by June is true and they turn injury around. The upper management needs to work in the TM OR CS role now with this work model and see if they can do what is expected at the TM or CS level.

I doubt they could!

Over 1000 attended the informational meetings. 300 are targeted for February. You should know real soon if you were selected. If not, keep working on your skills, especially your writing skills. We don’t use many canned letters in Injury. It is the skill that is most lacking in today’s new folks. We plan to hire almost 2k people in the first half of the year. You will likely get a second chance if you don’t get selected in the first round.
