We know there are buyers. CB leadership wasn’t meeting with ghosts all this week in Palo Alto. Also, Broadcom has cut all financial support for CB resources who aren’t already part of the BU, meaning any contractor or former VMware resource that wasn’t aligned under Carbon Black after the acquisition has not been renewed and Broadcom is not keeping, regardless of business impact to CB.
The last update was there are 2 front runners for purchase. 1 PE firm and 1 vendor. I believe the PE firm to be KKR, based on industry water cooler chat.
