Thread regarding 3M layoffs

RSU Vesting Date

Hey all. Per Fidelity, today is the date that RSUs are supposed to vest. They show up as non-vested, and per live chat with Fidelity, they are waiting for 3M to process the shares. I do not recall this happening before, but my memory may be faulty.

During the last few years, I typically moved them as quickly as possible, as that seemed the most financially astute move. Call me a cynic, but how much will the delay cost me? Does anybody have additional information?

Cheers!

This year nobody has LTI choice-everybody gets RSU and the grant date is pushed out until after spin is complete. They are going to shorten the 3 year period so these will still vest in Feb 2027

The new thing this year is only RSUs for those at the T5 and T5A level, no choice for options.

Hence no LTIP in hand for 3 years for those in T5 and T5A grades. Company saves some dough since times are tough.
What happens after 3 years, nobody knows. Does 3M go bankrupt? Good question right?

RSU has always been 3 year vesting at least in USAC. This isn’t something new at all

Yep. Announcement came out last year. It is a 3 year vesting period for certain LTIP.

More cost saving for the company at employees expense

yup. all are on a 3 year cycle - 1/3 vest each year for 3 years. Always been this way. For everyone who gets them.

This isn’t right for RSU-RSU for LTIP have a 3 year cliff vest. 100% vests after 3 year

Dividend payments should be in this week based on last years schedule

If I’m not mistaken all RSUs are on 3 year vesting schedule.

3 year hold for RSU's for T5 and T5A's.

Why such selective treatment for this group and not others?

So much motivation to work hard and come up with new ideas for 3M !

When does the dividend payments get put in your account from the 3 year hold of RSU's? This is our first distribution, glad wr didn't do the other option.
