Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Endless layoffs

I am so sorry, guys, for all that is happening to us. Protracted layoffs are horrible, I can barely concentrate on any work. Waiting for days and weeks to find out if I am on the chopping block is very stressful. I wish the best for all of us who have to go. I hope there are other options on the job market, and all of us will end up in a better workplace.

Nielsen will keep all the non people leaders; let's see what happens when all the minions are gone and there is no one to do the dirty work.

What is sad is that the people being terminated had nothing to do with the current Nielsen financial woes

Nielsen leadership is responsible and they along with all of the individual contributers that "led" us to where we are will still have jobs.

I'm sure some of these leaders will lose their jobs but they will most likely receive more than a week per year of service.

Please realize that being dead would not be better. It always leaves loved ones traumatized and feeling guilty, changed for life. This is definitely a low point, but do the best you can. Get any help. Hospitals will set up payment plans. Make the minimum payments. Look into government programs. Being out in nature helps lift the spirits. Make sure to open up and talk to someone, call a hotline if needed. It feels good to be heard. Know you're not alone.

Being dead would not be better. This, too, shall pass. Please don’t talk like that, this company does he care about any of us, don’t let them wield this kind of power over your mind.

some of us have high medical debt, no savings from said medical stuff, and are on the verge of losing everything. being actually dead would be a better option at this point.more cost effective.

Always have a plan B my friend. The years of being loyal to a company for a stable job are gone with the wind.
It's stressful having to adjust to having less money coming in when you have a lot of expenses. So for those that still have a job right now, pay off all of those credits cards/car payments ASAP! Hopefully you all have a good support system and/or a spouse with a job to get through the tough times. All the best everyone.

I'm already overemployed since last year layoff. Gonna keep Nielsen on my roster for paychecks. It is coming for all of us. Take it easy. Don't overwork yourself. At the end of the day, we are just numbers to Nielsen.

Sorry for all impacted.

Peace!
