Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

End of WFA

APAC is forcing all staff back to office. Dictatorship. Mgt with no brains. They should downsize office space and save the money instead of laying off people. This company just does not value its people. Gonna resign now - enough of this c**p. Goodbye Sabre for the years of anxiety and horrible ELT.

I like the idea to back to the office until all have to back. I tried a couple times but what's the point if I'm in the office alone and still need to meet virtually on teams?

WFH is a blessing for those of us who used to waste a lot of time and energy commuting long distances to the office. For me it was like 2h daily and know there are people who spend more. Plus office is of course great for collaboration but in my role I spent 85% of time working alone and when there are meetings we usually use MS Teams anyway because our team is distributed in many different locations. I have a quiet room at home and it's much easier to focus compared to the office. I think it's both your role and personal circumstances that makes you either prefer to work from home or office. I don't feel less productive at home to be honest. What ki-ls productivity is a context switching between unrelated tasks and user stories.

WFH makes you fat and lazy. Bring back mandatory onsite across the world

Maybe if people got their butts back to work instead of goofing off at home, this company could actually turn itself around. Productivity was high when Covid first hit and people were forced to work from home, but now everyone has become lazy and either spends more time shopping, playing video games or watching tv instead of actually doing their job. There is a reason that companies are bringing their employees back to work all across the globe... It's because nothing is getting done anymore!

You have to be a Right Thinker to be a Good Sabrite. Posters help fine tune that frame of mind!!

If you don't come into the office then you don't get the full benefit of the communist-style propaganda posters in the halls. You are really missing out on some serious double-think opportunities.

Bring back private cubicles and I will return to the office gladly. Too much noise now even when it is empty. Can not think with all the noise. Also taking meetings while driving car is really bad as I am not rich enough for chauffeur. Really hate those meetings and one day may have car accident.

Going back to the office and using public restrooms where someone else is taking care of nature 3 feet away is disgusting!

Southlake will be a disaster if everyone has to come into the office with the terrible new open plan desks and nothing to block noise carrying from one side of the building to the other.

The people that usually had more face to face time with the Customer base have been remote for years. Not sure that the staff closet to the office who could actually return to the office will be the most Customer Centric to seek ideas on how to improve the product lines and the business.. But if Butt in a Cube" means more to E-Level then so be it... Let's filler up....

didnt Sabre close 40 or so offices during the pandemic? You can only require those people to come back to the office if there is an office to go to. The closures dont indicate a return to the office policy

More walk off’s now means Severance savings later. Looks like the downward spiral continues..

This might be a way of encouraging people to resign, so that headcount can be reduced without layoffs.

Southlake is next. With past layoff plenty of room for everyone. Exes do not like to see empty cubes. I think a lot of people slack off too.
