Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Cash is becoming an issue at Xerox

Xerox stock has been boosted by dividends and stock buy-backs since Icahn's failed attempt to buy HP back in 2020. The lightning-quick comment at the end of the Q&A session that there would be no buy-backs in 2024 was telling. That's a warning. Combine that statement with the actual numbers, not the fog, tells me that cash is becoming an issue at Xerox. This is no surprise considering the company's falling revenues, debt load and higher interest rates. On the other side of the ledger, there are only so many divisions to sell and people to RIF before that source of free cash dries-up to...

I don’t trust anybody that isn’t smart enough to put simple punctuation in their writing. You probably didn’t even graduate high school and you want to make far-fetched claims? Lol. Sure buddy.

Not true. Cash is king - and keeps you from bankruptcy as you are fluid in meeting labilities. We are above industry norms. Debt and other liabilities become risky for a business when it cannot easily fulfill those obligations, either with free cash flow or by raising capital at an attractive price (stock is up which is good). In the worst case scenario, a company can go bankrupt if it cannot pay its creditors.

"Based on the latest financial disclosure, Xerox Corp has a Probability Of Bankruptcy of 28.0%. This is 30.8% lower than that of the Technology Hardware, Storage & Peripherals sector and 13.04% lower than that of the Information Technology industry."

Been here for 25 years old guard Anne Ursula did cuts but there was a spirit of product development. When jvvv got here that ended actually the 1st communications Mgr that hosted the 1st town hall was gone within a month. These guys are a wrecking crew- Then the brush cutting and logging began big time. So for a dashboard the layoffs would be roughly your mip raise 2%ish cause thats how they roll aka they fo not actually pay more you for talent look it up, but with the new mob crew with jv sb this is more like 12 to 14 percent reduction year 19 -23 aka wrecking ball:

19: 6 rif 9 load shift to outsourcer
20: 6 rif 7 load shift to outsourcer
21: 6 rif 6 load shift to outsourcer
22: 9 rif 6 liad shift to outsourcer
23: 6 rif 6 load shift to outsourcer

So I believe it's gone down over 50 percent in named headcount, but you can see that the outsourcer this crew uses has been completely trashed and probably can't stomach a new contract from these creeps thus x is hitting this year to named employees to get the 15 percent - I have been on calls where the outsourcer was handed a pile of steaming dog cr-p to take over and had no idea what to do... Times this by a 1000 to get the true picture of the demolition...

Don't worry stevvviiee keeps all the metrics of the above to score his next gig doing the same rinse repeat won't even spend a moment thinking what he did......

Need a dashboard of thresholds (layoffs, divs, etc) to define a short position.
