Former customer here. I think hy vee management has lost their minds. Won't be doing anymore shopping here. What makes them think their products are worth more than their competitors? May want to come back down to earth,just a thought.

Ain't that the truth.
Prices are high everywhere. Manufacturers have decided that their growth will come from higher prices, not more volume. That puts retailers in a tough spot. Some, especially the big players, are handling it better than others.
As a dept head and a person who has worked for hyvee for almost 20 years I can say that I hear customers complain all the time about how hy-vee has such high prices but yet management just complains about lack of sales at the stores. All corporate would have to do is look at the sales numbers and realize hey maybe we outta change strategies but there too busy kissing Jeremy's a-s. Then all mgt does is say we'll we have no sales so we need to cut labor to the skeleton of a bone. It frustrating as a employee to see this but also as a customer myself too
HyVee corporate doesn’t care about store employees. On top of that HyVee corporate leadership thinks HyVee customers our sheep’s. They feel like they can do what ever they want and the shoppers are too d-mb not to come back. It is well known that at corporate they refer to customers as sheep. So much for customer service and helpful smile in some aisles.

Yep. Why anyone would chose to pay more for same/similar items is the definition of insanity. IF HyVee provided unique services and/or products, that's one thing to justify their price gouge. But, as an insider to this HyVee shell game, I can tell you that's not the case. Shop ad buys only, then go elsewhere.
Yes they are super expensive. I only go there for their ad items.I then go to Aldi and Fareway as they all are within a block or two of each other.This way is very convenient.
