Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Another nail in the coffin

With the transition to My Lowe's Rewards, I can't tell you how many credit cards will evaporate once the $100 credit is removed from a $500 purchase... Just 5%, free shipping, points, isn't going to do it for many people.

Marvin, you're FIRED! My 100s of credit apps and the crazy badges on my vest are a testament to what was, we now enter the abyss. Again, Marvin, you're FIRED!!

That poster who claimed the 20% has been approved for 2024 forgot to add through March 6. Say goodbye to most of your cc's in the front of the store. The writing's in the wall, amazing the supervisors have no idea... Let's keep this quiet until the bitter end... Wow.

Having gotten so many credit cards without being in higher sale departments like appliances and flooring, I'm sc--wed. My sweet spot is around $500 +/- 200. And I'm supposed to start the conversation with would you like to save 5%??? Wtf?!?

Conflicting reports: a cashier at my store has seen the training video, it mentions the end of the 20%. If that's true, Lowe's will have made a huge blunder... one of many.

This I can confirm, no changes, it'll be rolled over. Can you imagine if they didn't. That 20% is a biggie.

The 6 months free financing will primarily work on high ticket items, appliances, flooring, etc., associates hoping to snag someone at much lower amounts will take a big hit.
