First of all, I am not going to train anybody. Second, what is wrong with these managers today who think that outsourcing is some automated process and all will be fine? They think all of this is some programmed setting? No idea whatsoever about cultural context, particular work culture issues, or anything to do with the real world? How many times such badly organized and thought out outsourcing have to fail? Or they simply do not care?

Gracenote Customer Care US is only hiring replacements in India going forward. Sooner or later there will no longer be Customer Care in the US.
We all know this will drastically shrink Nielsen. The owners don’t care as long as Nielsen forks over debt payments. If they can sell off parts of the tech they’ll do that too.
My bosses are walking around talking about Q1 goals and overall 2024 goals and talking about pitching ideas and the disconnect is wild. Productivity won’t save you. Every day more jobs are posted online for India.
But what is their calculation considering after outsorcing there will be no company, it will die and they already paid 16 billion?
They don't care about whether the company is successful longterm. It's about getting the PE firm the cash it wants as soon as possible and nothing else.
They already tried in the past to outsource local people and failed, but this time I don't think there is enough brains to figure out failing.
