I hear conflicting reports on the status of Contractor layoffs. Anyone have any firsthand knowledge of the situation, especially in Risk Department?

No unless project is closed
@wtx+1qPq2sG5 They may not be counted in the employee headcount but they should still be impacted. It would be crazy to continue some of these contracts with these incompetent consultants/contractors.
No
They are not counted as headcount so not impacted
Keep an aye on the numbers. Have always been high, will remain high. Some trimming at the edges but not expecting senior folks have the bottle to unpick the years of contract ctrl+v+p. Many vendors are dug in deeper than ticks.
Yes, every one is. I am sorry to say this.
Many contractors are letting go to my knowledge.
Contractors have been and will be impacted. Normal part of the process too. Both employees and contractors are vulnerable.
Contractors cost less to lay off, and they have already cut contractors ( not renewing contracts or just cutting #s ). I will say in 2008 when Citi laid off 50k in basically one day, contractors were not impacted, but pay was cut. So not consistent in how contractors fare in mass layoffs.
yes, contractors are vunlerable.
