Neal Sample is a total joke. Completely clueless.

We are down for sales and the BC role drives sales: larger basket sizes, higher sales and higher NPS than stores without a BC. BAES educate and coach to drive sales and customer engagement. If anything we desperately need them now.

Post ID: @cni+1qPe7yUk... Regarding working in fear, that seems to be ingrained in Walgreen's culture. Outside of corporate, the motivator is the threat of losing your job or a write-up. Not a lot of meaningful positives.

Neal Sample always brags about his stanford education. He went to wycoming for college!!! What a genius???!!! He is just a wycoming brain on Stanford stick. Probably got it because of claim of his DEI share.

While I see these layoffs will be corporate in nature, they really need to get rid of the BAE’s and BC’s. This is a failed effort and the stores are not getting nearly the incremental sales needed to justify that expense. At this point, im completely fine losing most of those allocated hours. We could have 10 “selling” hours a week and still have the same beauty sales.

My region only has 50% of the BC stores hitting their sales goal. How many of that 50% could have been hit with no BC? I’d venture to guess alot. NO BC’s NEEDED!!

Investing on ic+??? Common!! The pharmacy new leader is old, he needs to spend his last days of his life with his family not playing with ic+

The board needs to be replaced. They are ultimately responsible for the failed strategy and CEO hires

Tim Wentworth and Neal Samples are a pair of blind leading blind (picture it!) This legacy company needs innovators but the company fire their smartest people and hired a CEO who was already collecting social security and medicare who has no clue about business and a CIO doesn’t understand technology or even have a vision. Neal Sample is not technical at all. Look at his LinkedIn (fired twice by his two companies before) and where he went to college. Near Sample is the worst CIO I have ever had and truly one of the d-mbest people you will meet. You feel it from his BS talks.

Neal Sample doesn't have any technology vision. They are enjoying their life. He doesn’t want smartest people, because he doesn’t care about WBA, only thing he cares is how much money he gets and how much fun he has. He has a good life there after one and half year being unemployed.

Too bad it wasn’t Tracey B. Expect MORE layoffs in the springtime.

Neal Sample failed already. He is not a technical leader. So sorry for Walgreens to fail. Everyone should think about finding new job now.

The layoff neal mentioned impacted a lot of the data science team, which seemed kind of aimless tbh. lots of brain power there but no vision or leadership behind them to really make things happen.

Is the Layoff Neal mentioned today already over, or is it still ongoing? Which IT departments have been affected?

How about laying off some of the seemingly dozens of managers and directors in shared services. It’s a dumping ground for bad management. Anyone on here in shared services that think they have a competent manager/director?

Gotta "love" that poor leadership decisions cause the company to pay out so much in legal fees and settlements (as well as bad business planning and ventures) and instead of taking any actual responsibility at the top these costs get passed on to the employees in the form of layoffs and stagnant pay.

Announcements already started going out today. HR and IT impacts for sure. Neal talked about improving IC+ in his announcement

Our announcement came from Manmohan and said that he'd share more in his townhall on 2/9, although my guess is managers will meet with people as quickly as they can.

Let’s drop 12 million on a building that we already sold and bought back and keep sh-----g on the grunt workers. The reckless ways continue. What teams and departments were affected. That communication was poor how about clear and transparent communication so we know what teams and areas were impacted! Unreal Walgreens!
