No need to panic! They can leverage your VOE scores, by feeding the data into the BCG (Big Citi Grinder) algorithm - you’ll have the best managers with top staff driving high performance teams, triple share price and smash the costs down.

The scary thing is that once a serious problem occurs, there will be an investigation as to what went wrong. Like its some huge unsolvable mystery that no one can ever figure out.

So lets hire the same consultants that will NEVER conclude that the whole ongoing process corse that they sent us on is a contributing factor on “a”,”b”,”c” etc…

Everything is ridiculous and from last year up to this day I've seen Citi post dozens and dozens of technology roles and yet they're apparently also thousands too much according to news outlets. Seems these big executives just hear AI and jump on the bandwaggon thinking just hiring 300 AI people (who are probably clueless given how new everything is, faking resumes, and very entry level) will automatically fix all their technology issues.

Infra teams, business analysts, and PMO organizations are being removed due to perceived extra weight, and divisions will be forced to automate QA and eliminate manual process/team.

Is the leadership at such a loss and so out of touch with what is wrong that they have to hire an outside consulting group? Are they really that lost that they can’t see it? Moving past that….

Operations is already running thin with “do more with less” and has been for the past year. The stress for them is at an all time high. The implied threat of “step up to the challenge or you may be next to be let go”, has worn more than thin and its to the point where its not working anymore as a motivator. Very soon you’ll start seeing people just putting in hours per day only regardless of any looming deadlines. You’ll start seeing sick days being used up first. Yeah, there’s risk on the horizon for sure.
