You all need to stop believing the trolls - it just makes you look silly.
They want to get out of paying severance to people who have found other jobs.
Its mandatory for all ,wait for mail next week
I'm still waiting for the 996 email announcement.
Will this new one be before that, or after we all switch to 9am-to-9pm-6-days-a-week working?

This doesn't even make sense from a day-to-day operations standpoint, much less the legal trouble a company would be in to do this.
I am sick.
I have personal errands to run.
I am on PTO.
Beyond that, unless it's stipulated in the agreement on severance, executing this rule would be a legal headache and regulatory nightmare.
Broadcon has shot themselves in the foot in from many different angles with this aquisition, so troll probability is high, but not 100%.
People making sh!+ up again.
In the EU this is simply illegal

I'll rate this as a 3 out of 10 on the Troll scale.
Following up my previous comment. I can't find any information on this internally. Unless someone can provide some pointers on this, I call malarkey.
Doesn't apply to EUC.
I’m going to poke around the portal to validate this. This feels like a rumor.
Fascinating. Is this outside the US or US based? Does it affect only transition employees assigned to an office or have all of them been assigned an office?
Cue the lawyers.
In the US, Broadcon has a contractual agreement with the former entity known as vmware about severance payout. It said nothing about coming in to the office to get that.
Is this wage theft?
