WD will continue exist to produce HDD or go bankrupt. Nobody will acquire it, FTC won't allow it.
Also, there's no need for Micron to acquire SD/Kioxia as their main business is RAM.
when the stock cracks and hold $6O then analysts targets have a chance
there was confidence in the split, and now?
It's called pump and dump. Wasn't HAMR supposed to be out, and WD buy Samsung HDD, and WD buy Koaxia, and then split... and ... and ... wait WD just lost money, revinue, and head count again and is hoping for a random industry upturn (again)?
It looks like company will split and then sold off. Western Digital will no longer exist. My sources still say Micron will eventually acquire combined WD/Kioxia flash company while HDD is sold off. I have no source on who HDD might be sold to but there is a lot of management activity in HDD regarding g split and sale.
need $6O to flip from a level of resistance to support
Nice!!! Our stock is shooting up today because of the news
Here we go again…
@1ewz+1qMxJiwy challenging in areas to be forward looking where leadership created and benefits from the status quo because and the unspoken expectation is to keep it so, not challenge it
we know how each compliments the other, so with improving market conditions comes merger talks, no surprise but much work to do
maybe our shares would be hire if employees got to work instead of posting more layoff mergers…honestly seems like the new cisco people are the only forward looking people here…..
DG said it in AHM that merger will be easier if the company split, which makes sense because HDD is not in the picture anymore in this case.
Just a matter of when at this point
This was expected. Since Flash is becoming profitable this year the shareholders want to cash in.
