We encounter a limited overlapping time with our India team, primarily from 7 - 8 AM, a period often impacted by commuting or childcare responsibilities. Unfortunately, this timeframe is also late for the India team. Despite the primary business operations occurring in the USA, substantial control is delegated to the India team. There's a notable concern regarding the team's tendency to rush tasks, neglecting proper processes, leading to avoidable delays and errors. To address this, I propose relocating Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Architects to the US for improved coordination.
Moreover, there's an issue with Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings being delegated to engineers in USA who are not responsible for these matters. To ensure efficiency, those accepting roles should be prepared to stay back when necessary. While colleagues in the US maintain a respectful and considerate approach towards their Indian counterparts, reciprocal considerations from the India team are currently lacking. Addressing these concerns will contribute to a more collaborative and efficient work environment.
