Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

The Citi Chaos

  • Most Citi employees are applying for jobs, but not even a single call for interview.
  • Employees are facing fear of job loss, urge to leave, politics, cheating to hold position, project control, and severe mental pressure.
  • Project decisions are under hold and no one shows interest to work
  • All of a sudden, the fellow contractors/consultants are enemies to hold our jobs
  • Citi consultants seeking permanent roles in Citi as they face instability in vendor companies.
  • Shareholders are holding their breath if Citi's actions will fetch anything good for their stocks.

Troll post from OP
No one in our huge organization are worried and no big change than normal BAU changes which happen every year. Too much nonsense posts and fear mongering on this board

Yes, everyone is worrying about it. You should see what I see.
At lunch people are meeting offsite, also after hours and believe it or not, there are also people who meet on weekends at various places such as starbucks or barnes and nobles.

They are resume comparing, surfing for jobs together and even practice interviewing.
I’m sure someone as they always do will chime in with “Give me a break no one is meeting on the weekends”. Oh but they are. I just left a get together at someone’s house with 6 other Citi employees, two of them were on zoom. We talked about the going ons at work, job search engines, job search key words and other actionable items with the focus on leaving Citi. Here’s the part where someone says “No one is meeting on Zoom, yada, yada..” Yes, they are. Yes, you can have a zoom account that has nothing to do with Citi and does not go through Citi.

No one is talking about it in the office but everyone is worrying. We can tell from the recent town hall with our leader. But when asked when we will know if we can keep our job or not, our leader did not even answer this directly. I think that means that the lay off will be on going

It doesn't appear to be only in this forum, I have seen a lot of this in CTI. If you're not noticing this l, then there is where the problem is, teams need to be open and transparent during this difficult time.

Agree. I don't hear of any fear mongering in the office or people complaining about lack of job interviews. Honestly, it's all on this forum. 🎵I should stay away. But what can I do?🎵
