Can't say I'm surprised at all! When that customer is served better by the BNSF, that news will travel to other shippers fast! A major contract loss like this is not good.
It’s over for Los Angeles. APL was strictly out of Los Angeles ports. No other region is having layoffs except Los Angeles and I’m sorry to say that it’s just the beginning. APL contract is a huge loss. They should let go all the executives in charge of that contract. Start from the top and go down the list. But they started from the bottom and forgot about the top. With the skeleton crew left in Los Angeles, more late trains will continue and more layoffs will continue until eventually they will close down one or both shops in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles outbound trains are departing late. It has not even been a month after the furloughs and it’s already affecting the outbounds. Who know why APL left the UP. Might have been to many late trains or the expensive price tag UP charges for service.
Stupid managers are ruining this company do not let these clowns bully you to do more!! They don’t know how to do the job but they want union employees to work faster I don’t think so !! Managers throughout the system are laughed at and not respected at all!!

Everytime my manager says Z train failed or is delayed it makes a smile on my face. stUPid railroad will burry itself with that clown management, toxic environment at every level.

I think the fallout in the LA Basin was the result of this lost business? I could be wrong
All NorCal and PNW locations/shops will be bulldozed. No need for these locations due to BN taking away the customer traffic.
