Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

ROC

Any insight on when the new bunch of TCS groups are going to start training?

I think I found the link on TCS of them hiring for Nielsen: https://ibegin.tcs.com/iBegin/jobs/288413J

First group was already trained. The West Region test went well, supposedly. East Region, not so good.

I think we are still far from layoffs in the ROC with how small that group is compared to how many PRS are needed.

My opinion: they are playing a mind game with us and are trying to put pressure with the threat of layoffs to have us quit, it is way cheaper to have us quit than pay us severance.

“Is there any truth that the roc is moving to Mexico? That the PRS’s are training their replacements there?”

110% YES. Already started the process. They haven’t been secretive about it either.

Regional Operations Center

Most of the ROC provide remote customer service to our Television Audience Measurement Panel, which are panelists who have the boxes their TVs.

They also provide support to the Field Representatives who go into the panelist homes (all over the US) and to the Membership Representatives (the ones who recruit the panelists).

It’s a department of probably around 100 individuals.

The right thing would be to give us the option to stay or leave with severance with a clear timeline.

The people who are top performers and dedicated to Nielsen will stay and help train with the promise that they keep their job. It would be helpful to have people who know this side of the business to stay and to give them some peace of mind. There are many I believe that love their job and want to stay and could really help the business thrive.

The people who are wanting to leave could be given an option to leave with a severance package with a clear date of them leaving with the promise of helping us in the transitional state.

Like cheese 😅 Cut out the mold, keep the good.

Two can play that game.

We can all clock in and decide to stop working and ride it out. Give it a week or two and they can see how much we help the panel that makes this company so much money.

The ROC employees deserve a severance.

We have had a lot of pressure on us over the past couple of years to get back the MRC accreditation after the disaster of COVID-19 and through our work we got back our accreditation.

Think about it. Our work load increasing with nano faults and the push on verbatim and the script getting longer and longer. In turn dealing with more agitated panelists because of the increase of time on the phone with them and the increased outbound calls to complete work, the added workloads of helping leads with the ongoing audits, image verifications, helping the field with faults, etc,.

Not only did senior leadership NOT acknowledge the work the ROC did to help get our accreditation back (only acknowledging the field, which they definitely deserve recognition as well) but then they had us train our TCS replacements. What a sp-t in our faces.

They have put so much pressure on us of never doing enough, expecting more and more of us with an unmanageable workload with no acknowledgement or appreciation.

We can put some pressure on them too.

Check mate!
