Best thing that ever happened to me was getting laid off. Found a real job in no time and all is good!
Haha yeah I just went through this. My TM loves to reinvent the wheel and comes up with new initiatives to try that only benefit him and upper management. He wants to set my team apart from other regions. Same TM who made retail CEs do network calls until the split. Meanwhile those calls were mostly hellish and I pray I don’t have to go back to them.

Mgr calling you with a NEW OPPORTUNITY means he knows nothing about it, can't figure it out but he volunteered to you to score points with his boss. Many spineless first level mis-managers that do this.
