Transition Early Layoffs

Anyone on the transition team with an October layoff scheduled think you're getting axed earlier? Anyone know how common it is to layoff earlier than the letters?

"Our manager has said that anything is possible between now and October. Surprise decisions will come quickly and be very disruptive to work assignments. Just consider what happened to our partners as an example. No warning, instant termination.

Broadcom will continually revisit its decisions based on cost-cutting goals each quarter."

They can't do instant terminations can they? I thought they'd still have to give severance.

Unfortunately transitions are said to retractive in end date. It was written into the contract.

Count yourselves lucky not to get a welcome letter! Honestly!

A lot of people who were supposed to transition until April-June were told a couple of weeks ago that their last day is next week. Be prepared to depart at any time folks!
