I've seen 1st round targets. They will cause impacts for sure. 2nd round to finalize in Feb so corporate can establish their action plan in early April. That tells me they want to get the RIF in by fiscal year end.

Wouldn’t the lay off prior to May as they traditionally have. I am expecting to hear something soon about them. Also not curbing travel or expenses. I am a bit confused

Yup, MDT loves to hire and promote leaders with NPD. Especially in Quality and R&D.

Notice how infrequently bad managers are blamed? They create the narrative their bosses hear typically.

Every job in R&D or OPs lately requires one to be a superhero to make up for years of poor planning by management.

The engineers and lower level management are thrown under the bus so the Narcissist managers don't catch any blame. Sensitive little snowflake narcissist egos can't handle any blame. Narcissists are masters at blame shifting.

Medtronic is just following other companies by laying off employees. Nothing new.

Major layoffs I suppose, so cyclical and predictable - starting early May’24. Got to hit that bonuses number.
