Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Leaders with no ideas.

Once again BH starts on the layoffs of what is rumoured to be 2000 people worldwide. When will the leaders of this company be replaced with people with ideas that think the only way to profit is cutting personnel.
BH management have allowed competitors to take market share by a lack of ideas and now they are paying the price. Sorry the staff are paying the price for weak woke leadership who dream to make the company like SLB but without the staff!

Go Woke, Go Broke!

Just like the Biden Administration’s policies and leadership of places like California and New York!

Want change? Change Leaders!

I guess the company sponsored “Drag Queen Bingo” on company time isn’t winning the heart’s & minds of our stock holders or customers!

Woke? Ok boomer. But it might change when they/you retire.

No real ideas, but plenty of White Elephants.
Time to pack our trunks.

Well, I would argue that it is not true that they have no ideas. They have only one idea and it is a silver bullet against all kind of problems: re-organise and layoff. Look at the rationale for this and at the claimed advantages:

  1. "the organization weigh us down and we can't have this": ok, so what are the problems we are trying to address specifically and how the new structure is supposed to address them? No mention of that...
  2. "It's going to make us better and improve processes": ok, are you going to roll out new processes then? Is process improvement going to happen overnight just because we re-organized?

They have very few ideas but very confused. Will see how it will pan out but with this leadership I wouldn't be surprised if there will be major blunders in the making.
