Correction. 1st round was circa 2007. It will not stop until the PE debt crushes us into oblivion.

There is life after Nielsen. Prepare for something new and start looking now, as many companies are laying off people as the economy slows these next few years. Being in a job where all one thinks about is when they will fire me is unhealthy. Trust me, I went through it too. Good luck, everyone!

The one thing we can’t be angry about is being laid off “unexpectedly” . The writing has been on the wall all year, folks.

They’ve been hinting at it for months with JM’s nonsensical blabbers in town halls.

If you have been reading in between the lines of what he is saying (and what all of leadership is saying) “No one’s job is safe” is something they tuck into every response when asked about layoffs.

You should have been actively looking and applying for a job since September.

Nielsen is not loyal to you no matter what you think. We are all just a number here.

Long gone are the days of “we are a people company” from David Kenny. We are now a numbers company.

I’m prepared and will be relieved when I am finally laid off. Give me my severance and let me jump off this stressful, sinking ship!

"Ok I just got info, that huge org changes in Jan. Probably layoffs in Jan."

Most likely. Reorgs are done to weed out people including those on top who aren't part of the clique. In the past, they were also done to nullify scheduled promotions. Nielsen is run by a pathetic clique.

Do you have a Plan B? If not, it’s time to begin working on one and catch up.

Yeah, my manager told me the same thing, as they keep moving jobs to Mexico, they are going to remove them here. Next wave is in Jan, similar to 2023. Looks like biyearly layoffs are a thing.

Good luck trying to manage panelists from Mexico
