Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Layoffs/hiring

I know Pepsi is currently in the middle of layoffs. Does anyone know if they're in a hiring freeze for the manufacturing plants? They still have jobs listed for the plants.

Actual Manufacturing jobs are generally pretty safe - not like the brass wants to do that work.

Overhead (office) roles in plants are another matter - maybe still “safer” than Corp roles, but not as safe as direct line roles.

I’ve been with this organization almost 6 years and it’s steadily declining. Unless you are really desperate- do you really want to join this horrid place? Constant layoffs, crummy compensation unless you are in the boys club at HQ. I hear there was a time when this was an employer of choice but that ship has long ago sailed .

Thank you. Do you know if they'll be hiring for manufacturing at the first of the year?
