Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

Down votes

A poster claimed company about paid down voting. I do not usually post on these sites but needed co comment.
I an a front end fab tech in fab 9 and have a close relationship with my manager. I mentioned this website and he said he knows, HR has notified managers about it.
Probably where the down votes are coming from all of a sudden.
Not positive but probable.
I was also told the back end layoffs this week was all hush hush, news stations were not notified. Keeping low numbers to stay under the radar. But boy do they put any highlights on WCAX news but never the layoffs.

The down voting is definitely running wild. GF HR team must have been told to fix GF's reputation out on the web by trying to down vote things. Here is a novel idea, why not fix things inside the company and then the responses will be positive instead of negative. Instead, we do a Glint survey, and the results are not even shown down at the director/first line manager level, I guess the truth hurts. GF's way of fixing things is just to have constant re-orgs to allow leaders to not be held responsible, move them before they are held accountable. Re-orgs the majority of time don't solve anything, but they are an indicator of a company that has issues but doesn't know how to fix them, buying a lottery ticket has a better success rate than re-orgs alone do.

Someone must have taken their skinny jeans off, allowing recirculation to be achieved to the brain, and decided to take some action in the form of constant upvoting of themselves.

Stunning and Brave.

There are managers who post on here and give people a heads up. There are definitely a few who know and see how things are rotten inside Globalfoundries.

I'd say let them. People tend to read the controversial posts first, so whatever shills are doing this, they are actually shooting themselves in the foot.

They do actively go onto indeed and other employment websites as well with fake profiles to boost reviews and ratings. During last major layoffs ratings dropped down to 2.5-2.8 range, but with in 2 weeks was back up to 3.5-3.6 range…

GF doesn't have to pay anyone to down vote, all takes is one toady manager a couple of minutes. This site was built with a big flaw, all you have to do is open your browser in a new private window, vote, close the browser and repeat. One person is changing the voting.
And as far as reporting goes, WCAX is almost a GF propagandist at this point. Last year when 150 people (an amount larger than most small businesses in Vermont) they barely mentioned it, they were to busy spouting about the $30million Leahy got for the chip industry.

Given how unethical the Ethics team and HR team is at GF, I wouldn't put anything past them. This is an open blog essentially, if you treat people well you will get good reviews, if you treat employees badly you will get bad reviews, very simple. If you have to pay people to down vote things it means as a company, you don't like the reputation you have earned. How about you fix the way you treat employees and then the comments, etc might become positive, earn those positive comments. However, as a company right now GF is doing nothing to earn positive comments and the majority of comments are spot on about how bad things are inside GF.
