beware that belk is trying to play mind games with managers
we were told that we are fast track to getting more money for store renovations as we are now a 'golden store'
however, no money for pay increase or hiring
in fact, hours have gone down slightly
and some days its still single coverage
My store recently moved up to a silver status and our hours have been significantly reduced for months now. I just turned my two weeks in because it’s no longer livable hours. Just heard they are laying off the two highest salaried workers are being laid off per region and our only good manager happened to be one of them. Belk as a company is ridiculous and cares very little about its customers and employees.
One manager (who no longer works for Belk as of June 2023), claims that are sales numbers/goals that store manager's have access too are fakes or at the very least not accurate. She says that only a select few big wigs know how much they stores really make. She may be on to something, because they don't want us discussing sales, only app downloads and store rewards credit cards.
As they get closer to the big payment due, They will pull all they can from the busier stores , Sycamore investors will take a big payment and belk management will get their bonus and they probaly will queitly start closing some of the slower stores and then bankrupcy,
Not surprised. Belk is all about manipulation. Be carefull not to say the truth or you are targeted.
