Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I've been double dipping since 2021.

Why quiet quitting if I can quiet working???

Yes. Since 2021 I have 2 full time jobs. EM doesn't care about me. So I don't care about you either. I show up to important meetings, say what my supervisor wants to hear, volunteer to do thinks that nobody wants to do, such as mentoring an intern that does pretty much everything for me, regurgitate upper management buzz words to sound like I care, and leave the office around lunchtime, often before.

Then I work remotely my second full time job with lots of flexibility.

Ranked Excellent this year and VG last year

@oxn Because he’s one of those controlling mid-management bootlicker types who thinks employees are the property of the company.

This is the same type of person who denies you a raise and puts you on a PIP for no apparent reason. He can KMA. Imma do me.

Why do you hate on him? If EM was not satisfied they could just fire him.

Assuming it is true, which I doubt... you get caught you lose both jobs, and I hope you do get caught. Doing it is one thing, bragging about it is another

@veu Lots of OE resources out there, if you know where to look.

Be forewarned: this work/lifestyle is not for everyone. I’ve had to use PTO from J1 to cover J2 and vise-versa. But those two big fat paychecks I get make it all worth it. Paid off one house and just bought another one. Life is good. Planning to retire at 50.

You are my hero. Do you work in IT or engineering. I wonder if this is possible for my role. Certainly gives a feeling of security when you have more than one job.
