AK is also still on the BoD of Northrup Grumman. Interesting that they've also decided to keep him on.
Ha! What do you think the “moral compass”’of Northrup Grumman is like?
What does this have to do with layoffs
Nothing. But there are not many outlets for discussion on all the internal shít that goes on which you can’t opine on to anyone at work if you have the slightest bit of criticism. Going against those who define bonus and hiring based on obvious preferences based on gender and race will just lead to those people themselves calling you racist or whatever and shutting down the conversation with eyes rolling how “you don’t get it”. The speed in which their anger is directed at you for criticism is as if you rapèd their child, seriously. How did things get so out of whack?
Companies need to leave their id--tic social engineering plans in the garage and focus on making money, that is what companies are built for.
You think this would be obvious, but at some point big companies start to lose their way and think they are a platform for societal change.
If management were so concerned on societal issues they should address economic inequality by not paying execs 100-200x comp of average salary and shake up the racial mixture of such execs. But no. That logic applies to everyone else in the company, not themselves.
How hypocritical.
Unfortunately, although Arvind and his comrades were caught on a recording saying what they said, nothing will come of this other than perhaps some publicity that they would prefer not to have. Our labor laws are weakly enforced and politics are more in play here from our government rather than doing what is right. I have a lot less respect for Arvind as a person after hearing this as I am sure others do.
And don't forget, AK is also still on the BoD of Northrup Grumman. Interesting that they've also decided to keep him on.

Interesting decision by the NY Fed:
Arvind Krishna Reelected as a Class B Director to New York Fed Board of Directors --

Yes, @2kee+1q2rzybS by all means, lets attack the messenger rather than the message. Who cares that AK and all his minions continue to spout the evils of discrimination while pushing discriminatory practices. What a world we live in!
whoever leaked these videos is gonna get their as--s reamed.
and there ain't no whistleblower protections for corporate espionage.
Well obviously someone on Arvinds staff meeting decided this was worth recording and was not in agreement with their hiring practices. Hope this person does not get exposed and let go.
Sure, just paper over it, move along, nothing to see here. AK and the BoD are very worried.
IBM Chief Arvind Krishna Says Nothing Illegal About Hiring Practices After Musk's Alarm Over Leaked Video: 'I Have Thick Skin' --

"Is this thing making it to the big news media?"
No, not even Fox News is touching this story in the slightest, which tells you it's mainly bullsh*t for the small minded.

Arvind should resign immediately.
But look at all the white SVPs - Jim, John, Joanne, Jonathan, Nickle, Michelle, Kelly, Gary, Sebastian, Ric, Bob, Christina, Paul, Roger, Alexander and Rob. Why doesn’t Arvind effect change at the top?
add all their age discrimination cases and you have the trifecta of race, gender and age.
IBM is in full damage control right now on /r/ibm, judging by the bootlicking posts I've seen.
Has Arvind resigned yet?? If not, WHY NOT!!???
"I'm not defending Arvind, I'm asking why isn't every Fortune 1000 CEO and BoD being called out too?"
Because they were not caught on a recording actually expressing their discriminatory practices--unlike Mr. Virtue Signaling Hypocrite AK, and his two other cronies on that call, who were all outed as a true racists.
I recall that when Indian born Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took over one of the things he said was that he would use his position to decrease the amount of white Americans in tech. Since then he has decreased white hiring within America by over 10% and used the diversity guise to increase hiring of foreign Indians through h1b by 10%. Making a company less white from the eyes of Indian CEO's is to replace Americans with Indians. Foreign Indians have been the biggest beneficiary from DEI, hopefully this is a step to make sure American companies hire Americas.

Why is Arvind being singled out? This is literally a result of the same quota policy the US government requires of all government agencies, suppliers and contracting companies for the past few decades. IBM has Fed contracts. I've heard every board of directors force CEO's of my past companies to push the same thing. Almost every Fortune 1000 company has to push the quota or be made ineligible to bid on government contracts. It's always been unethical, but mandated by law. I'm not defending Arvind, I'm asking why isn't every Fortune 1000 CEO and BoD being called out too?
AK needs to put his money where his mouth is. Since Indians are not underrepresented in Tech, he needs to step down as CEO and be replaced by a diverse person. Same for head of IBM-C (JG), head of IBM-T(RT), CFO (JK), CCO (JA), and almost all the other SVPs.
@1pfa+1q2rzybS -- Agreed. Best we can hope for is they get their a$$es sued and lose. Then there would certainly be some changes that could likely qualify as an indirect apology.
And you just know that those three wokesters in the video are completely, utterly baffled what all the outrage is about! They will NEVER apologize or issue a mea culpa because they're incapable of even recognizing that they're in the WRONG!
Showalter is one of the beneficiaries of these programs, so of course she's thrilled about Discriminate, Exclusion, and Indoctrination.
The obvious mistake here is to put people in charge of these exclusionary programs who directly benefit from them. The proverbial fox guarding the hen house.
IBM Diversity Efforts Targeted by Stephen Miller’s Legal Group --

Financial inducement to break federal law. Can that be prosecuted under RICO?
CEO needs to be replaced.
Is this thing making it to the big news media?
It has to make more noise so we can get rid of Arvind the racist!
Only pressure will force him to step down.
I would just encourage IBMers to record more of these webex meetings and publish them... I my years at IBM I have seen a lot of cr-p that is/was a total shame and never legal. Some of these executives and managers are just plain id--ts... and Arvind is obviously the id--t in chief. The BOD should just fire Arvind.
This is a better version: https://rumble.com/v40yf2c-omg-media-group-exposes-ibm-ceo-for-hiring-discrimination-ibm-whistleblower.html
Also covered extensively on this video on Rumble:

Totally disgraceful all around. We all knew it, but now its proven beyond a fact. Once again IBM will pay out a tanker load of hush money. Watch the video now because I'm sure they will use coercion once again to make it go away. Also, Showalter should have that grin (after the comment re: Asians) legally slapped off her face. She didn't think anyone else would ever be watching. She does not deserve the position she holds, and nobody should ever hire her in a HR capacity again. Shame on her.
Wow, IBM willfully and knowingly conspiring to break Federal and State employment laws…
Irony Alert
Musk's Space X is under investigation for discrimination, as is Tesla Austin
So glad media is shining a light on this illegal discrimination. Shame on IBM.
So in other words, if I am interpreting this correctly, the law prohibits discussing any kind of hiring bias based on race, religion, age, gender, etc. Your hiring practices need to look at background, skills, experience, etc.
