I would surmise that it is being done this way because of things being slow to ramp up offshore. It is probably layoffs here at the same rate that replacements are being hired in India.
Why would any company do multi-month drip-drip-drip layoffs, which tank morale and productivity? This is not a rhetorical question; I am curious. Is it because it takes time to ramp up other teams, or inform clients?
