Two weeks, 10 business days left

Anything will happen soon? Or nothing will happen at all till Nov. 26?

@erz+1pxdha8R Why would holidays in America affect progress of approvals in China? Doesn't China operate unilaterally or is some communication/interaction with US required?

I would say 22nd is the last day. Given how they handled Oct 30 I would say they will NOT say a word until the actual day of closing. Pricks...but that is who they are.

So, expect something 22nd. If the deal does not close on 22nd does not mean it's totally dead, a mutually agreed extension can still happen but it gets complicated after 22nd.

VMware lost control of its business. Management is weak. Hock Tan shows himself as a risk seeking bluffer and twice as aggressive as VM management.

The actions of BC, wherein they sign documents with no intention of performing on them, is well shown to the public in this semi failed takeover.

It will be a challenge for BC to get its 69 billion worth, plus all the expenses and bad balance sheet they get from it.

Competitors to VMW have a big opportunity here.

If this deal doesn't happen by Friday, November 17th, 2023. It is dead, VMw will be returned back to its shareholders on Monday, November 27th. If yous a guysa think that this deal will close during Thanksgiving week, you're nuts!

NEWSFLASH

  1. Deadline is Sunday, November 26th which once again folks, is a SUNDAY

1a. Saturday, November 25th, is a SATURDAY.

  1. Friday, November 24th, is a shortened trading day (aka Early market close) @ 1PM
  2. Thursday, November 23rd is THANKSGIVING DAY IN THE US which is a major holiday and yes, THE MARKETS ARE CLOSED.
  3. Wednesday, November 22nd is basically 1/2 a useless day.

This leaves you with Monday and Tuesday, Nov 20/21. This deal ain't happening kiddos if it pushes PAST Friday, November 17th...

GO find a new job, if you don't have a letter, focus on yourself first and make VMw day to day a lower priority as Mr. Gannon told you to do so early last week.

VMw will be returned to its shareholders on Monday, November 27th, as an irreparable dumpster fire of employees who have been fd with, betrayed, and treated like sht (esp in the past few weeks)...VMw has been destroyed and it all happened in front of your very eyes.

It is so sad what the SLT/ELT of VMw has done to its employees and the brand mostly within the past 3-4 weeks...I blame this dumpster fire on VMw, and not Hock Tan.

Do you believe in miracles? That's what it will take to recover from this fiasco.

And, if Hock Tan can bring this to a close, I have to wonder - at what cost to AVGO?

If AVGO shareholders saw the concessions that he's desperately prepared to make to gain approval from the Chinese, would they question his leadership ability and judgment?

It all comes down to the meetings next week. Does China want to play, or push their might?

They announced their expectations that perhaps soon in any event this transaction may close for bureaucratic reasons. And you should stop right there.
