@1gah GF has many foundry business processes, software tools and HV/RF/Analog technologies Intel doesn't have in their portfolio. Yes, much of the good talent GF used to have is now gone, there are still a few excellent engineers left who put up with the incompetent leadership. I think this could be a win/win for GF and Intel, however, the investment company is too greedy and will never sell.

Why would INTEL buy GF after they've already hired away all the key technology scientists and TSMC, Samsung, CNSE took the rest

12FDX is still on the roadmap, what a joke!! The 12FDX ball has been kicked down the street year after year with no real plans in sight. TC doesn't list anything new coming for GF's roadmap. Basically, he is betting on the current portfolio to grow the company. Having Intel buy GF would be the best thing for the employees, this would get employees back in the scaling game and also have roadmaps where real development and differentiation will occur.
